We're a couple of dreamers who believe that the life you want comes with hard work.
Established in 2021 in South East Queensland by Trinity and James McNicol, Maroondah Cattle Co. is a small but growing stud.
We have a passion for the Speckle Park breed, and a strong focus on quality and commercial viability.
What we lack in scale we make up for in research, dedication and veracity.
Trinity is a registered veterinarian, and was raised on her family's stud Jersey dairy farm in Northern Central Victoria - also known by the name Maroondah while still in operation, until roughly 2005. Her parents' tireless dedication to breeding stud cattle rubbed off - unsurprising
when dinner time conversation usually centred around genetics or the latest stud sale. Combining her dairy background with her veterinary expertise, Trinity is driven to produce resilient cattle that thrive in Australian conditions and deliver quality over the hooks.
James was raised in South East Queensland and has a background in the carpentry trade. Bringing his "fix anything" knowhow and
analytical way of thinking, he's a real asset to our program. He spends countless hours delving into pedigrees and EBVs,
chasing the numbers that back up the characteristics we select for.
